Biography
Ryan Resmer is a multi-talented and award-winning singer/songwriter who has been spinning a creative master web as background vocalist and arranger in Canada and abroad for more than a decade – until now. His commanding hand in arranging vocals, live performance, and creating grooves that make you move has culminated in the launch of his debut pop single “Just Say [YES]”.
Carving a new niche into the digital pop genre, his sound shows clear influence from Justin Timberlake, Kirk Franklin, Sam Smith, John Legend and Alicia Keys as well as his roots in contemporary gospel music. Thick vocal harmonies, dance-pop, funk and soul inspirations are obvious in his sound. These influences support his rich baritone vocal range and fluttering riffs to shine their brightest.
Ryan’s full length Contemporary Christian album “Alive In Me” was received with massive acclaim, earning the GMA Covenant award for Gospel Song for the Year in 2008 for “Because Of You”. The albums other anthemic tracks “Sing Your Praise” and title track “Alive In Me” were picked up and sung by tens-of-thousands of church-goers across the country.
